Download a file a printer can use
SVG and PDF stay sharp at print size. PNG is for screens.

Choose the format in Export
PNG and JPG are raster files for screens and slides. SVG is the vector file for design tools and large print. PDF is the print handoff, with bleed for the press.
Leave a quiet zone
Keep a clear margin around all four sides, at least four modules wide. A code that touches a photo, a fold, or the edge of a card fails in the camera even when the file looks sharp.
Size it for the surface
A menu or a card wants a code large enough to read at arm’s length. The print-specs guide covers minimum size, contrast, and the surface you print on. The homepage generator’s PNG is enough for a screen; send SVG or PDF to a printer.
Reprint only when the pattern itself must change
A static code has the destination in the pattern, so a new URL means a new file. A dynamic code keeps the same pattern when you edit the destination in My QRs.
