7 Bulk QR Code Use Cases, With a CSV Setup Checklist

Bulk generation is useful when each printed item needs its own destination. Start with a spreadsheet that pairs each item's name with its public URL. Keeping those pairs correct matters more than generating the images quickly.

QRBliss bulk CSV generation requires a signed-in Business account and supports up to 500 URL codes per batch. The batch format currently supports URL destinations. It does not directly encode Wi-Fi credentials or vCard contact data.

Seven useful batch projects

1. Product instruction labels

Give each model its own guide URL. Use a stable product identifier in the row name and compare the exported image with the product before applying the label. A QR link supplements the essential instructions that must remain with the item.

2. Property brochures

Create one code per listing or tour page. Check that an address in your spreadsheet matches the address on the brochure. Choose an editable destination when a listing may be withdrawn or replaced. See the real-estate ideas.

3. Room information cards

Link each room to its instructions, equipment guide, or booking information. A room-specific page can reduce ambiguity; avoid placing access codes or other private credentials on a publicly reachable page.

4. Event resource cards

Give each session a page for slides, a video, and follow-up resources. If you need attendance verification or ticket validation, use a destination system that implements it. Creating the QR images alone does not add those capabilities.

5. Equipment manuals

Point each equipment label to the relevant manual or maintenance page. Keep a human-readable equipment identifier beside the code. The QR generator supplies the link; your maintenance system controls records and permissions.

6. Local branch information

Use one destination per location for hours, directions, and contact information. Assign someone to maintain the pages after holiday schedules or branch details change.

7. Packaging inserts for different products

Link each insert to the matching care guide, recipe, or demonstration. Do not send every product to the same homepage when a specific instruction page would help more. Explore the packaging listicle for placement ideas.

Prepare a CSV that imports correctly

The required headers are name and destination. Save a UTF-8 CSV with one code per row. For example:

These are placeholder URLs. Replace them with working public addresses before uploading. Optional headers include qr_type, color, template, logo_asset_ref, and is_dynamic. Leave qr_type out or set it to url; the current batch validator rejects other types.

Use the template offered by the upload dialog as your starting point. Headers such as link or label are not substitutes for the required column names. If a value contains a comma, let your spreadsheet application quote the cell when it exports the CSV.

Generate and export the batch

Sign into a Business account, open My QRs, and choose bulk upload. Fix any row errors, review the preview, name the destination folder, and generate the batch. Use the folder's export controls to download a ZIP of PNG or SVG images, or a multi-page PDF with one QR per page.

Start with a small batch to confirm the complete workflow before uploading hundreds of rows. Check each destination against the source spreadsheet, and scan representative printed proofs from the beginning, middle, and end of the export. A sample check can find systemic problems; it does not prove every row is correct.

Choose static or dynamic per destination

Static codes encode the destination URL directly. They can still display updated content when you keep the same page address. Dynamic codes encode a redirect whose destination you can edit, with service and account dependencies. Use is_dynamic to express that choice in the CSV and review the comparison.
